Making empty promises is not the best thing to do, which is why we’re sure to say: you definitely will not forget this night. Once again we have Odd Fantastic to present a high-end program. After his spectacular debut set in January, DJ Richard will showcase his blend between house and techno on our Boiler again. In summer 2012, he founded the label White Material with his companion Young Male and even with only five releases so far they’re on everyone's lips right now. Would have been funny puns when Beautiful Swimmers played in our pool tonight, but nevertheless Maxmillion Dunbar and Ari Goldman from Washington DC know how to move dance floors with their synth-infected tunes and some completely unknown DIY records. Not to put too fine a point on it, but we’re thrilled to welcome this debutant in STATTBAD: DJ Sprinkles. The American who currently lives in Japan not only founded the imprint Comatonse Recordings in 1993, the album "Midtown 120 Blues" is a conceptual kaleidoscope addressing (not only) queer and transgender issues – with good reason the LP is considered as a house milestone. Just remember: house is not so much a sound than a situation!
Since 2010, the video artist Aurora Halal is organizing Mutual Dreaming parties in Brooklyn. On the accompanying label she presented one of her three EPs in 2014 that only increased our fascination. After the unique live set Halal played earlier this year, tonight she’ll give us a surely stimulating insight into her record collection. In addition to our frequent guest Christopher Rau, whose skills are again featured through records on Smallville, Thema and the Berlin-based label Office Recordings, we welcome Konstantin alias Herr Koreander to his debut in STATTBAD. With his partner in crime Leafar Legov, they released their debut record "Easy Listening" as Kettenkarussell on Giegling. While the LP creates something marvelous between ambient, house and some downtempo ideas, his closing set will surely leave nothing to be desired. Into A Better Future!
