ECCA VANDAL is still sporting a healthy glow from her recent triple j addition. Her very first piece of solo musical output, single White Flag, has been received with nothing but guffaws of glee. Blending the forward thinking music savvy of Santigold with the legit punk rock ‘tood of Tragic Kingdom era Gwen Stefani, Ecca needs to be seen to be believed. Speaking of swagger, you’d be hard pressed to find more raucous, riotous punks than Melbourne’s CLOWNS. The Poison City Records ratbags punch out straight up, swing-from-the-rafters, rollicking punk rock with frightening consistency and we’re delighted that they’re lending their talents to us this Christmas.
HIGH TENSION will turn party vibes up to one million hundred when Collingwood’s favourite kids rip out tracks from their much-loved, AIR Nominated debut Death Beat. The aural equivalent of being kicked in the dick, High Tension will mince your ear meat in most offensive fashion.
Aus Rock covers band TNNL CNTS will round out proceedings, playing the finest in Midnight Oil, Whispering Jack and Goanna tunes before the best DJs in the biz pop the party wide open and lead us in to the AM. Oh, and did we mention Huxtaburger has popped up within the John Curtain? Consider those midnight munchies satiated.
