Ypsigrock Festival is the most unique outdoor musical festival in Italy. It’s an enchanted pocket sized event turned out to be the benchmark for addicted indie-rock culture lovers. Some of the bands that performed at Ypsigrock Festival over the years are: Primal Scream, Mogwai, Editors, The Drums, Of Montreal, Stephen Malkmus and The Jicks, Fuck Buttons, Pere Ubu, Motorpsycho, Dinosaur Jr, Gang Of Four, Caribou, Kula Shaker, dEUS, Jon Spencer, Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy, Blonde Redhead, Mount Kimbie, Apparat, Patrick Wolf, Twin Shadow, Django Django, Alt-J, Jon Hopkins, The Field, These New Puritans, Esben and The Witch, Yuck, etc.
Ypsigrock is a choice of quality and it differs, cause it mixes up several charming aspects of a music festival with an irresistible location. It simply steps back in time. The big stage is set below the wonderful Norman Castle of Castelbuono and the medieval village is crowded by thousands of listeners. The main stage of Ypsigrock Festival is therefore the precious Piazza Castello, held by the old medieval arch, the large staircases and, of course, the castle. A rich area for history and dazing beauty. A huge mix of interacting cultures in the heart of the most unknown Sicily. Getting to Castelbuono usually means discovering an unexpected and marvelous Sicily: a journey through artistic, natural and cultural beauty, essential statements of the genuine Made in Italy.

The equipped camping area is located inside Madonie National Park: in the middle of the green forests that surround Castelbuono. It’s a fantastic place where it’s possible to breathe the real festival spirit combined with friendship and with pure relaxation. The magic of the camping is the result of great performances, shows and experimental sessions by every kind of artist. Ypsigrock Festival is the best place for a great August weekend in Italy; completely lost among the marvelous sands of Cefalù and the incredible Madonie’s peaks. It’s difficult to find a better place for people with a serious artistic, cultural and music attitude! Ypsigrock Festival is the centre of art.
