classical is a term that encompasses all art music. It was first used during the Romantic era to identify everything pre-romantic, and then in the twentieth century they used it to encompass everything pre-20th century before dividing history into more stylized eras. Classical has a double meaning, many text books now you "Classic Era" to describe the classical era in order to avoid this confusion

he certainly was a genius, taking Chopin's ideas and pushing them to their logical and theoretical conclusions

This isn't really classical music, it falls within the Romantic era. Although, apparently, it's quite avant-garde, for it's time. Like Satie or Debussy.

On par with Chopin, Rach, and Liszt? I'd say he is in his own league, light years away from conventional music. Scriabin's music is unique, exotic, mysterious and alluring. It's almost like he created a new form of music.

Scriabin is becoming one of my favorite piano composers. I think he is vastly under-rated, I consider him on par with Chopin, Rachmaninoff, and Liszt

Alexander was my girlfriend. A master of fellatio and rimming. And, oh yeah, an OK composer and shit, too.

Greenfoot has it right! Scriabin's symphonies are miraculous works of art. I love the final movement of his symphony no. 1

Greatest composer of the twentieth century, master of dissonance and musical ecstasy! Scriabin's polyrhythmic melodies and harmonic tensions and excesses are really something incredible to experience!
