Alundhra is a Heavy Metal band from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It was born with the goal of making good music using as ingredients some reflections about society, religion, people and life itself.
The band idea was born in 2003 with the highschool friends Willian and Igor. The band´s first line-up had Sergio Avellar (from Retro Stana) on vocals, Thiago Gomes on bass and Pedro Cruz on drums (Sergio left the band in 2004 and Pedro in 2007). During 2006 the band had Hisham Muhammad (from The Fink Ployd Project) as guest musician on the keyboards. Besides Thiago, the band´s actual formation has Gabriel “Bio” Rudow as the lead singer and Francisco Justino on the drums.
Alundhra´s songs have the influence of many styles inside Heavy Metal. Although we have our roots on Traditional Metal, some songs have progressive and melodic passages, meanwhile some compositions may have thrash and speed metal elements. Our first EP – that carries the band´s name – shows 4 different songs, each one with a different intention, pace and subject. Band Members are:
