Depois de um período de pouco reconhecimento em seus últimos trabalhos, a cantora volta ao seu estilo dance-pop e retoma o sucesso de sua carreira.O disco produziu o single 1# “Spinning Around”, que estourou na parada britânica, e outros sucessos deram sequência como “On a Night Like This”, “Please Stay”, “Kids”, dueto com Robbie Williams, e “Your Disco Needs You”. O álbum vendeu 2 milhões de cópias mundialmente e é um dos discos mais conhecidos de Kylie Minogue.

I agree with those who say this is one of the, if not the, best pop albums ever made. There is a definite sound and cohesiveness and the album exudes carefree happiness. "Spinning Around," "On a Night Like This," "Disco Down" and "Light Years" are my favorite tracks. I think "Bittersweet Goodbye" and "Kids" are weaker, out-of-place tracks that interrupt the flow of an otherwise perfect end-to-end listening experience.
