Her love rains down on me easy as the breeze
I listen to her breathing it sounds like the waves on the sea
I was thinking all about her, burning with rage and desire
We were spinning into darkness; the earth was on fire

Haha, I got the same impression as some people over here! This song really sounds like if it was recorded by U2. :P Great track by the way. So atmospheric!

Oh, come on. Stop all the circlejerking here. Really, take a look at the song. This is the best thing U2's ever put out.

This song is probably what killed Rick Wright, poor fellow

Not satisfied with inventing U2 with "Run Like Hell", David Gilmour decides to go all out and *be* U2. Unfortunately, he decided to be boring 1980s U2. Shit would this song benefit from scaling down all the overdone "bigness" and more Rick Wright; the lack of any audible Rick greatness on piano or Hammond organ is a damn shame. What's the point of trying to beat another band at its own game when your band has Rick goddamn Wright in it?!

Awesome song. I like the "big" feel to the music in this song...very grand. Mellow, but grand.

The E-Bow made popular mostly by Stuart Adamson in Big Country can really be heard on this track.

And he sounds we different than U2...not even close. Stylistically it is similar to some U2 stuff but that's it.
