Biografia

Banda criada em 1986 por Roger Taylor, no tempo que o Queen estava em recesso. O grupo era composto por: Roger Taylor (vocais e guitarra), Spike Edney (teclados), Clayton Moss (guitarra), Peter Noone (baixo) e Josh Macrae (bateria).

O primeiro álbum, Shove It, foi lançado em 1988. A banda se separou em 1993, após o lançamento de três álbuns.

    Mad, Bad and dangerous to know and Blue Rock are great albums! There's a few gems hidden in them.

    While I'm not a big fan of The Cross, I have to say that Mad, Bad and Dangerous to Know has some killer tracks. Especially Final Destination is one of Roger's best songs, imo.

    I haven't listened to any of The Cross in a very long time and didn't intend on ever listening to them again. Until yesterday when Blue Rock started playing on my itunes. I've actually fallen in love with that album. I guess sometimes music grows on you.

    There was I time when I thought The Cross was an awesome band. These days I think they were a pretty average band which had the luck their frontmen brought the fanbase from his other band. They did some nice tunes though, but also lots and lots of crappy ones :D

    What a shame that The Cross do not return with a new offering....I saw them in '89 at the old Town and Country Club in North London...they were Bloody Fantastic...have all the albums and think that Shove It was a mile stone in mixing and blending his written Queen material with the Cross...brilliant
