Einfach geil, selten hat man wieder solche perfekte Riffs von den Stones gehört. Für mich das beste was sie je auf Vinyl gepresst haben.

I don't have sympathy for devils. Most people don't realize this, but the origin of the term demon is daemonia. It was a Greek term that was misappropriated by Hellenizing Jews. To the Greeks it meant something akin to a "wise philosopher or teacher" while to the Greek-speaking rabbinate, it meant "unclean spirit". What a double-entendre. Surely, Jesus of Nazareth had a fun time driving the 7 daemonia out of Mary from Magdalene. The unclean spirits of Greek philosophy. Were it not for Greek philosophy bastardizing the very Jewish message of Jesus, Christianity might have become a much more beautiful religious movement within Judaism. However, what early Christianity did to The Adversary is unspeakable and I do have sympathy for The Adversary. To Jews, The Adversary is little more than humanity's dutch uncle who has to ask permission from YHWH to tempt the righteous and draw the wicked out into the open to expose them for all to see. This is not an enviable job for a humble servant.

Goes without saying this is a classic! I'm into the live version from Get Your Ya-Ya's Out! at the minute, Keef and Mick Taylor ripping up the fretboard!

Documentary footage about this reveals a bit about how the guys work, it began life as a slow folk song, and gradually evolved into this Brazilian samba as Charlie experimented behind his drum kit. That right there is why he's the greatest drummer in rock, among other reasons.
