Biografia

The original S.K.I.N. performance (with best unofficial quality so far) can be heard here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=whgc31ZmlzU and there is this new short video what looks like official footage http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wdUuDSy1Elw At least the rhythm guitar sound is slightly different from the original, but Gackt's voice suits better than Toshi's voice the song.

Yoshiki is pushing too much with X Japan, he should leave it as it is, in 1996. He should concentrate his creativity and energy, and time, on classical compostitions, Violet UK, or sometimes S.K.I.N. There simply doesn't exist new album, only few occasional and rerecorded songs, what's worse, he's now playing live a new X Japan song "Beneath the Skin" which actually a song by S.K.I.N., and it does sound as their best song since I.V., but that's pointless as it's not X Japan song...

X Japan promotion is done badly, "never before had a band broken these boundaries", metal bands, like Loudness had #74 and #64 charting albums at Billboard Top 100 at the time X Japan didn't even exist (1985-86), Ezo and Dead End had their albums and music videos released and aired in America in late 1980s. Since 2005 and 2007, before X Japan reunited, Dir en Grey made a impact in America with Billboard saying it has "transcended the language barrier in the United States through its music". Yoshiki, with all these stories of Hide, Taiji, and record contract with Atlantic Records in 1992 which never practically happened, is, or showing he's living in the past, or using it for commercial purpose.

As much as I love X...Yoshiki is so full of himself, miss seeing more from the other members. [3]

Yoshiki wants to keep all the attention of the band for himself. And it doesn't finish anything he starts, like Violet UK album "coming soon" since 2002. The other members are probably waiting for him to do something. Sugizo already said once that "X may be active again next year" (it was about 2012, IIRC), they just need Yoshiki to take some decisions. But he seems too busy promoting himself as the japanese rock god. [2]

We need to hear new material, not the same old stuff all over and over again. But I guess it's not going to happen. Still one of my fave bands, though.

Listen to Sakurai Atsushi's version of I Like Chopin by Gazebo called 雨音はショパンの調べ -I LIKE CHOPIN-. Also try Kobayashi Asami's version of I Like Chopin

Yoshiki should have left Jade like it was initially. The song sounded better in the first live of it than the single one.

Is it true that the band had planned to reunite without Toshi, with hide on vocals, before he pass away? Saw this story somewhere online.
