I moan too much. But because I have no imagination and im still reading some books I plan on reviewing soon, heres a list of things that bring some well needed cheer in my life.
- KFC boneless banquets. They make Monday almost worth the effort!
- Living in Birmingham. It gets slagged off but we have good libraries, great venues and loads of museums and galleries and we are just as culturally diverse and interesting as any other major British city. Jeremy Clarkson can go suck it.
- Analog/synthesizer noise of any kind.
- My imaginary girlfriend Ruba Katrib. I saw her in one of my friend Tomlinsons art magazines and ive never fallen in love with a photograph in quite the way before or since.
- Polish ladies who upload very nice images of themselves on their profile page avatars. Sorry if it sounds like im perving an entire nation, but to be honest with you thats exactly what im doing.
- Having literally several lady friends who buck the stereotypes and gender assumptions by being big wargaming fans and listening to power metal.
- Suits on Dave. If you arent British then this statement might sound a little weird out of context, Dave is a digital channel which they play the US series Suits.
- Band names that make you lol, like Banana Erectors and Necrogoat who is so inverted that he has become upright. Both fine groups of the highest calibre.
- Ruining stupid peoples day by not giving in to their self serving whinging.
- Lovely last fm for eventually scrobbling all my Mirrorring and Craft Spells after all the nasty things I said about it.
- My friend Tomlinson for having a brain the size of Saturn.
- Come to think of it Saturn makes me happy. Dont know why, but a gas giant with rings made of rock and ice travelling at millions of miles an hour is pretty rad in my book.
- Vapowave bands of really ambiguous nationality.
- That Swans are playing at the HMV Institute in April!
- That there is actually a real life rapper in actual real life called Denzel Aquarius'killa Curry.
- SF art on any kind. If you know any good ones do let me know. It might make it onto my picture pin board updates.
