Yeah they were good, I'm not hugely into them but they rocked. Missed The Front Bottoms though.

aw well let's hope they do, even tho it sounds pretty awesome already :D and they were amazing as were all the other bands too! northlane didn't play masquerade with drew tho as we suspected haha so i was really disappointed but yeah it was still awesome so i'm definitely not complaining or anything :D

Yeah man, they're great. I'd recommend Discovery and Random Access Memories for getting into them unless you're really into house, their other two releases could be jarring. my internet is capped atm so I might have to hold up on getting Chiodos's new album unless I buy it on iTunes - that always works. Slow, but doable. I'll let you know when I get a copy anyway.

Absolutely. Papa vs Pretty is an aussie indie rock band and they released their sophomore album recently to positive reviews and the album is freakin' amazing. If you like that sort of stuff or have a tolerance for it you should give it a listen. Might not be your thing though. Mostly I've been listening to Daft Punk. Got into this group way late. They had to release their latest album in my hometown for me to notice ha. Another few albums I've been into are Rooms of the House by La Dispute, Happiness Is by Taking Back Sunday and Supermodel by Foster The People. 2014 has been an awesome year for music so far.

I don't listen to too much hardcore/metalcore stuff these days but I do know Chiodos. They're pretty damn good, such an interesting band. They have a new album out? I might have to look into that.

I'm working at this place called Aaron Brother's Art and Framing which is like a custom framing and art supplies store, its pretty fun because eventually I'll actually be learning to build the frames and designing them and everything. That sounds awesome dude, the lineup of Slam Dunk always makes me really jealous of you UK kids

Not too much going on with me man, just started my new job but other than that same old same old, how about with you? yeah I thought the Seahaven album was awesome too, it blew me away because of how great it was and also how different it was from everything else that Seahaven has ever put out. I think you're really going to like the La Dispute album too man its also pretty different from their other stuff but also in a really great way.

yeah i'm sure i will! like even if they'd be completely terrible i'd still probably enjoy it haha (tho i'm sure that's not even possible) :D but aw lucky, the lineup sounds amazing! and festivals are always really fun :)

Aw, that sucks! Damn... I guess concerts sell out fast in the UK. Oh yeah, I looked at the line-up when they added sws in it and it looks really good now! So many good bands but so far away. I hope to go to even one good festival abroad next summer... We got nothing in Finland really. Okay, the only good bands that come here this summer are BMTH and WCAR but I've seen both and I wouldn't wanna pay that expensive ticket just for them when I don't like the other bands. Download is on top of my list but depends if I get someone to come with me... then Reading/Leeds can be the 2nd option. Oh god, that's not nice though... But great that you had a good time nevertheless! They always put up a good show and they would be in Finland next week but I don't think I'll be able to go. :/ Northlane was their warm-up band there too, right? How were they?

I understand what you mean. All the good shows are at least a couple hours away from me so it's a struggle to make them. If they're surprisingly near, it's usually the case of no money at the time or not having anyone to go with considering I have basically no friends. Plus, no one I know really listens to the groups I do. I've gone to see bands with someone who could care less about who was playing and it's pretty annoying haha. Have you ever had that type of experience?

haha i really hope they do, even tho you would think they'd play the same songs on all dates but i guess you can always hope :-) but aw i bet, it does sound like a song that would be even more amazing live! and ah those too, i'm so excited to hear them c:

what?? really?? omg that sucks, it really would've been the perfect opportunity for them to play it :(( but ah sounds amazing, now i'm even more excited for the show than i was before :D and they play here on the 24th!

Sure, I'll let you know how was it then! I'm sure it will be awesome though. Aren't they coming to the UK at all? Wow, that was a really good line-up, indeed. But now they have added even more good bands to this year's Download and I really wanna go!! I hope I get my friend to come with, then I'd definitely go even though it's expensive but I'm sure it'd be worth it. But yeah same. Hey, you're going to see Architects and Northlane soon? Just let me know how was it then. <:

Aw i'm glad you did, it really is an amazing album and you would definitely be missing out if you hadn't listened to it :D ah me too! and that was exactly my first thought when i heard they were touring together haha, it would honestly be so amazing to see them play it together!

Can't say I have, I'll check it out. I used to pick up copies of a magazine called 'Blunt' and it always had small unsigned or signed bands on a compilation CD. Used to drive around with my sister listening to it. They had a lot of metalcore groups. It's not really my genre these days - I've sort of moved towards electronic music but I have been listening to them more often lately with IKTPQ's new album working as a breaking in device. If I remember any of those older metalcore groups I'll recommend them. So many good bands. I love to hear some more aussie bands are breaking it overseas, I feel Aussie bands are generally overshadowed because of our isolation and small population which works against them. Pretty sure AC/DC will be the highest played Aussie band for a loooong time on here.
