i'd heard most of those bands but not nai harvest and not only did you recommend them but a write up that a blog did on milkshakes from england compared us to them. i was intrigued by that too. so i'm listening to their LP right now and this is sick. kind of reminds me of hightide hotel. and by kind of, I mean a ton. which is fine by me because hightide is gone (which is sad and happy now because now there's a new band that sounds just like them haha).

haha MCR will forever live in my heart. they kinda broke my hearts will their last two albums so I guess it's okay that they broke up... well the first thing I recommend to everyone is Data.Select.Party because they are the most perfect math pop band i've ever heard. if you like the whole emo scene i'd definitely check out Ape Up!, Glocca Morra, Merry Christmas, Pity Sex, Lavis Blake and Zola. Things Fall Apart, Look See Proof, The Smith Street Band and Cameron Wisch are also some other very talented bands that I think you might like.

You're right, SFFS is a little hard to get into, but oh boy, isn't it glorious when you do. I disagree on the song length thing, tho.

i like the more classical emo screamo stuff like the saddest landscape, i hate myself, saetia etc. seems like there is a revival or something nowadays. everybody listen to them and feel inspired by them but most of the newer bands mix the screamo influences with postrock and the emo influences with noodly twinkle guitars. i mean thats cool and i like it but i love the more classic stuff....

Hmm, recs. Okay, based on your EitS plays, definitely listen to All Shall Be Well. They are a Dutch post-rock band and they are amazing. I see you've listened to Mew, but not And the Glass Handed Kites, so check that out, one of my favorite albums. General rec, not based on anything, The Dismemberment Plan. If you're into more hardcore stuff, then check out ...Is Terrified. If you're into more indie-rock-ish stuff, check out Emergency & I. If you liked the Plan, we have this nice community over at the shoutbox, so you're welcome to join in. Caravels are awesome so far.
