1. How did you get into 29? Dead Kennedys
I got interested in punk when I was 16 or 17 and they were one of the groups I totally gravitated toward.
2. What was the first song you ever heard by 22? Ramones
Either "I Wanna Be Sedated" or "Blitzkrieg Bop," both of which were used in "Vacation" movies if I'm not mistaken.
3. What’s your favourite lyric by 33? Johannes Brahms
He was a Romantic composer who didn't write operas or tone/symphonic poems. He wrote some songs, though, including the "Four Serious Songs" piece. The lyrics of those are taken from Bible verses. Here's my favorite of those, Ecclesiastes 3:19:
For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts,
as the one dieth, so dieth the other;
yea, they have all one breath;
so that a man hath no preeminence above a beast:
for all is vanity.
4. What is your favourite album by 49? Slayer

Four (Surfer Rosa, Doolittle, Bossanova, Trompe le monde), one EP (Come on Pilgrim) and two compilations (At the BBC and The Complete B-Sides).
6. What is your favourite song by 50? Black Flag
In My Head which, hey, is also my favorite album of theirs! How do you like that?

7. Is there a song by 39 that makes you sad? The Band
It Makes No Difference
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ctKlYHZOkUQ
They have some other songs that make me kind of sad but I would describe that sadness as more of a "wiftfulness." This one just makes you want to reach for the razor blade.
8. What is your favourite album by 15? Misfits
Legacy of Brutality (kind of cheating, I guess, since it's a compilation of their early stuff and not really an "album," but otherwise it's basically a choice between Walk Among Us and Chaos AD/Wolfsblood)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_vlTBA8fSoY
9. What is your favourite song by 5? Earth
Pretty much impossible for me to pick, but here's one I like a lot from an album of theirs that a lot of critics who otherwise tend to review the band favorably for some reason slept on: "His Teeth Bid Brightly Shine" from Angels of Darkness, Demons of Light II
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n1cyyJwpPdU
10. Is there a song by 6 that makes you happy? Pink Floyd
Considering most of their most famous songs and albums concern depression, insanity, war, the shitty and corrupting nature of the music business, I wouldn't really say Pink Floyd is a "happy" band. I guess "San Tropez" because it sounds like Jimmy Buffett by way of Pink Floyd but manages to be good despite that horrible mental image:

11. What is your favourite album by 40? The Velvet Underground
The Velvet Underground & Nico, most of the time
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zw4tHPUK6ig
12. What is your favourite song by 10? Thelonious Monk
Bemsha Swing. This isn't the original recording of the song but I like this version, done for quartet for the album Brilliant Corners, a little more than some of the others such as the original trio version.

13. What is a good memory you have involving 30? Killing Joke
Not particularly but that should reflect less negatively on the band than on my lack of good memories.
14. What is your favourite song by 38? Kyuss
El Rodeo. This isn't an official music video, but it's great footage that makes a good pairing with the song.

15. Is there a song by 19 that makes you happy? Jethro Tull
Yes, lots. Bouree is one:

16. How many times have you seen 25 live? Faith No More
Not a one. But maybe now thay they're going to be releasing a new album and doing more touring maybe that will make that possible.
17. What is the first song you ever heard by 23? Cows
Blown, the first song on the first album of theirs I bought, Sexy Pee Story. At that time it wasn't possible to find any song you wanted in seconds via YouTube, Spotify, etc.

21. What is a good memory involving 27? Dead Can Dance
The announcement that they were reuniting to record a new album in addition to touring was pretty exciting.
22. What is your favourite song by 16? Clutch

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bdMT71DC3cA
31. How many times have you seen 17 live? The Byrds
Never. They were broken up before I was born.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F88HajvKbPw

Impossible for me to pick. This one's definitely up there, though:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BUUg5c-HY0E
34. What is the worst song by 45? Joseph Haydn
The one where he says all women are "bitches" and "ho's." Haydn made some beautiful music but his brand of misogynistic gangsta rap is hard to reconcile with the beauty of his string quartets and masses and so forth.
35. What was the first song you ever heard by 34? Minutemen
Little Man with a Gun in His Hand
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uTVl_2ENTXo

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jm1os4VzTgA
41. Is there a song by 31 that makes you happy? The Rolling Stones
Yeah, plenty! None of them is the song "Happy," though. Here's one that makes me happy although it's not an especially happy song:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xubWr3ogmZc
42. What is your favourite album by 41? Miles Davis

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OcIiu1kQMx0

44. What is a good memory you have involving 46? Grails
I don't know that I have one. Sorry.
45. What is your favourite song by 35? Neil Young
Way too hard to just pick one. Whenever I make a list of favorites, though, this one always turns up pretty quickly into the process:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3fAXl97-RFg
46. Is there a song by 9 that makes you happy? Melvins
Lots of 'em. A History of Drunks is the first one that came to mind.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x0WvnQKzugE
47. What is your favourite album by 4? The Clash
Combat Rock. I couldn't find a YouTube link for the full album, so here's one of my favorite songs from the album. Interestingly, a lot of geniuses call this album a "sellout effort" because it's got "Should I Stay or Should I Go?" and "Rock the Casbah" on it. Well, it also has peculiar but awesome shit on it, like this and "Atom Tan" and "Sean Flynn" and a bunch of others.

48. Who is a favourite member of 37? John Coltrane
Coltrane's Sound, which also isn't available in full on YouTube from what I can tell, but here's Equinox from that album:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w5QGBHavF0U
49. What is the first song you ever heard by 43? Ween

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a7okvyg7MCU
