Sorry, I don't accept random friend requests.
(And I'm not the person in my avatar).
(And the "Vermillion" in my name doesn't come from Slipknot. I never listened to Slipknot.)

I only accept requests of people that can be considered 'friends'. I am open to talking, but, a simple "Hello from X place" or "Nice Taste[...]" message/shout won't do the trick. Although I appreciate that kind of comments, for me it is hard to follow conversations that start with that kind of messages/shouts. In fact, I will never reply to messages that are simply a "Hello from X place!".
Also, if you start a conversation with me via my shoutbox, make sure yours is open to the public so I can reply, because I won't accept a friend request just to be able to reply to a shout, and I won't reply to shout messages via private messages.

I barely send friend requests to people, so after talking to me for a while, feel free to send me the friend request. It is very likely I will accept it.

Finally, music taste has no influence whatsoever when it comes to choosing who is a 'friend' and who is not. So if our compatibility sucks there's no problem, it's still possible we can become 'friends'. On the other hand, if our compatibility is "SUPER", that doesn't mean you will be added to my list automatically. A lot of people accept friend requests based on the compatibility, but I'm not one of them. If you have a 'great' compatibility with me, please AVOID recommending me new bands, and don't link me to YouTube videos (or to any other videos, really); You have no idea how much I will appreciate that.

I consider myself to be a very happy person, but I don't demonstrate that with text over the internet, so you gotta know me in real life for that.
I have a very wide taste of music. I don't like what is vulgar though, like songs that treat women like sexual objects, or songs that treat children like shitbags, or songs that talk about obsessive hate against the human race. But with that, I don't limit my thoughts to certain genres. Rap for example, most of it has vulgar lyrics, but there are some like Eminem that actually have songs with beautiful meaning.
I am not a fan of the word "friendship", so please don't add me unless we talk for a while and we can consider each other "friends".

IMPORTANT: Regarding "Flags":

Ever since I joined the Flags group, countless of people have been visiting my profile just to put things like "+ 1 X flag" in my shoutbox, which is the reason I left that 'flags' group. Obviously, there is no problem when one or two shouts are like that. The problem is when the dominant number of shouts are like that. Also there is no problem when you shout something else and later you add your "+1 X flag" thing. So I will appreciate if you guy/girls don't leave shouts like that in profile. Also, PLEASE don't ask me to visit your profile just so you can get my flag, it's not a matter of life or death anyways, and I really prefer "more memorable" shouts, so to speak. Thanks for understanding!

About My Music:
I pretty much like to listen to everything, except shitty latin Reggeaton and Cumbias. Reggeaton because I have yet to find one that has meaningful lyrics, that doesn't treat women like sexual objects, and that are no vulgar in any other way. Cumbias, because it's not music. All of them have the same tune over and over again with different (vulgar dehumanizing) lyrics.
My favorite genre is Symphonic Metal. That's because I like my music to be overloaded with different instruments and voices (which is why I have problems appreciating garage music, although I don't dislike it). Also, while I pretty much enjoy everything from the Metal Genre (white metal to black metal, huh!), I am not a big fan of Power and Speed metal. I do enjoy it, but not as much as I enjoy other genres such as Symphonic Metal.
I completely hate the topic of "love" in music even though many of my favorite songs have it. The big problem with "love" is that, while it is something important for everybody, the topic is horribly overused in what music is, at least the conventional kind of love ("I love her/him", "can't live without her/him", and other similar 'stuff'). We need more music that talks about the beauty of the world, other kind of love, and other things. It is also the reason I don't like Pop too much.
Oh, and I hate Miley Cyrus, the Jonas Brothers, and the Naked Brothers Band. But unlike other people, I actually listened to them before blacklisting them.

Artists, Bands, Music Makers In General:

I don't care about your project if you advertise it in shoutbox, not even if we have great compatibility or if you think "I may like it". If you really, really want to tell me about how great your music is, then send me a private message. Or if you have the evil need of advertising it in my shoutbox, then be discreet. Chat a little, get to know me, but not right-off-the-bat advertising, it doesn't show any kind of connection whatsoever if the first thing you do when you see my profile is to tell me about your music, and as music makers you want to have a good relationship with people who listen to your music instead of just making them admire your music or give you money for it. Take that word of advice whenever you try to advertise your project.
