Rollins' Saxophone Colossus is considered a masterpiece by many people I know, so you should get that too. The Blue Album is cool, though I only really know the hits and Only In Dreams (which is GODLY). Pinkerton is much better IMO though. Speaking of covers, we're actually considering lifting an emo cover show so we'll be doing some rad stuff. IIOI, ATDI, stuff like that, so we may do Weezer.

Oh wait, Atlas IS on there, just with Ddiamondd. SCREW THOSE KIDS I KNOW HOW TO DO IT PROPERLY I HAVE THE ECHOPLEX I GOT IT FOR MY BIRTHDAY JUST TO COVER BATTLES SONGS YOU GUYS DON'T DESERVE PLAYING THESE SONGS DAMN IT. As for the jazz, it can be pretty fun once you get acquainted. I think you'd enjoy Sonny Rollins, especially the Sonny Rollins + Modern Jazz Quintet (or is it quartet?) album.

Found it. Portland's School of Rock covering Battles' Mirrored. Oddly, Atlas isn't there. I'm so jealous of them for actually doing that, mainly because I know none of them don't love them as much as I do and they were probably just assigned to (at least some of them).

I've fantasized about playing it with every band I've played with for the past two years. It's such a sweet song and I can't help but move to it in one way or another every time I listen to it. Also, I was wondering? Why do you not listen to any jazz? Or do you listen to jazz but don't scrobble it?

HOW'S ATLAS. ARE YOU HAVING A GOOD TIME? YOU PROBABLY ARE. YOU'RE PROBABLY HAVING A GOOD TIME.

I think you'd be more into Gloss Drop, plus it's much catchier, but my favorite is Mirrored and always will be. It's got Atlas which literally gives me chills every time and the musicianship is so rad on it. Check out both!

as much as floatings wants to respond to your shout he can't since he got muted for being a badass, he'll get back to you soon since and wanted me to inform you so he didn't come off as being rude without knowing when he'll be able to shout for himself, thanks you for understanding.

Those aren't bad ideas, but if you think of any better ones let me know. That 'you' idea would be real easy and we might do that.

You don't have to do stuff to do stuff, if you know what I mean, haha. You've supported us from the beginning and that means a lot. I still have to get around to sending you that CD, for procrastinating for so long, haha.

Thanks man! We seriously couldn't have done it without you. When the album is out I'll put you on the bandcamp credits, is that cool?

Ooooh, thanks for tuning in. My show on Saturday is at 6pm PST and my Tuesday show is 8pm PST. My Saturday show (if you didn't hear) is called Countdowns and my friend and I countdown a top 5 list of songs of a certain topic. We always have trouble thinking up a topic, though. You should think of one for us and I'll give you a shoutout on air for the idea.

Prom Night not only includes vocals but is very different from traditional Anamanaguchi, while Japan Air is more to their roots. IMO they pulled it off on both tracks with perfection, and I liked them both. Not gonna spoil anymore though, listen to the album as soon as you can!

Quite possibly the greatest EP ever made by mortal hands. The J. Arthur Keenes Band (aka Dan McLay) is practically the one-man Beatles of chipmusic; the fact that you have not listened to this is bad and you should feel bad.

It's impossible to express my grief in words that this band is no more. You can help me feel better by downloading and listening to their first demo EP. But why stop there?

This beauty was written and recorded while Dan was still in high school. High school, for God's sake! Check out dem tasty ska influences and cut some rug with Niels Bohr.

Get it HERE from Quote Unquote. (192kbps MP3, Free)

Amazing, sadness-tinged psychedelic pop that sounds like it came straight out of 1960. Full of lovely harmonies and every bit as beautiful as it is catchy.

Bonjour MachinesBonjour Machines EP
(Post-Hardcore/Indie Rock, 2013, 5 tracks, 18:16)

Get it HERE from Bandcamp. (HQ / FLAC, Free / NYOP)

This is the debut EP by my dear friend Ilai's band, Bonjour Machines. They're basically the best thing to ever happen to Israeli music. It's full of twinkly riffs and feels and you need it.

The Speed of Sound in SeawaterRed Version
(Math Rock/Post-Hardcore, 2010, 6 tracks, 25:53)

Get it HERE from Bandcamp. (HQ / FLAC, Free / NYOP)

The Speed of Sound in Seawater, dare I say it, makes math fun. Red Version is full of great riffs and instrumentation alongside some fantastically strange lyrics.

Excuse me, sir, you seem to have gotten your face-melting new-fangled guitar music in my Nintendo bleepity-bloops. But that's okay. 'Cuz it ROCKS YOUR SOCKS.

sadnesFill my Head
(Grunge/Chipmusic, 2010, 6 tracks, 23:10)

Dig out that dirty flannel shirt from the back of your closet kids, 'cuz this OxygenStar side-project melds the sounds of Seattle with the noise of an NES. Time to party like it's 1991.

Slime GirlsVacation Wasteland EP
(Surf/Chipmusic, 2012, 9+1 tracks, 29:12)

Get it HERE from Bandcamp. (HQ / FLAC, Free / NYOP)

If there's an up-and-coming chipmusician to watch, it's Slime Girls. 25% Anamanaguchi, 10% early J. Arthur Keenes, 100% surf-y, delicious chip.

Unicorn Dream AttackLove Bits
(Chipmusic, 2008,10 tracks, 43:54)

Get it HERE from Bandcamp. (HQ / FLAC, $9)

Okay, this one's not free, but without this album I would never have seen chipmusic as a serious art form. Truly one of the masterworks of chiptune, finally available as a digital download after 4 years. Go throw Mr. Keen your money.
