That's great, thanks for the list! I see we both agree on Daughter, but I haven't tried any of your other favourites! Will have to give them a go. I'm still listening to a lot from 2012 though; probably won't get onto 2013 til later in the year :D. Couple of favourites from last year? Olympic Swimmers, Admiral Fallow, Allo Darlin', Rachel Sermanni, Lucy Rose and Jesca Hoop. And The Smoke Fairies. Obviously. :)

Yeah, I kinda work with stalking. I'm doing the international promotion of my band so I try to stalk people that are involved with music, labels, magazines and stuff. So I'm always atalking everyone in every social network. Here in Brazil it's a better deal for the musicians to make a tribute or a cover band to play everywhere, so there are anly a few bands doing their own music. The saddest part of this is that the cover/tribute bands earn more than the others. Like tomorrow will have a concert of a Queens Of The Stone Age and a Muse tribute band and both original bands played in Brazil recently! ¬¬

Hello! Favourite albums of 2013 so far? Let me just give you some I've enjoyed lots, as there are many more I haven't even begun to think about checking out yet. OK, so 'If You Leave' by Daughter and 'The Still Life' by Alessi's Ark. Also Veronica Falls 'Waiting For Something To Happen', 'Back Into The Woods' by Ed Harcourt and 'Now That You Are A Dancer' by Kid Canaveral. Also Caitlin Rose's 'The Stand-In' and Kacey Musgraves' 'Same Trailer Different Park', Suede's 'Bloodsports', Amor de Dias' 'The House At Sea', Escondido's 'The Ghost of Escondido' (I was really taken with their EP) and Rose Melberg's covers collection 'September'. Looking forward to 'June Gloom' by Big Deal, 'Little Letters' by Paper Aeroplanes and of course 'Desire Lines' by the marvellous Camera Obscura :D You?

I saw them 3 times last year and it was the same set each time. Apart from I think they may have played one more new song at Bull And Gate (Goals In Slow Motion maybe?). But you're right, they really need to shake things up a bit, some of their best songwriting is on that album. Looks like they're just doing the festival circuit this summer, it'll be interesting to see whether they're brave enough to perform any more new stuff there...

Yeah I did go to the Bull & Gate show, it was pretty intimate but I think I preferred their performance at XOYO, although the end of Lapsed Catholics was great with the crowd joining in with general stage destruction. I really want to see them play more from the new album, as it was just the same set as before. Basically, call me greedy, but there is never enough live FOTL in my life.

Oh hey how're you doing? Still digging the new FOTL album? I hope they announce a one-off London show soon, it's been too long since XOYO...
