My music tastes are pretty eclectic, but I prefer melodic death metal, specifically Gothenburg style. Considering that I prefer the European metal scene I count myself lucky to have been able to meet some of my favorite bands, like Amon Amarth, Dark Tranquillity (haven't missed a local show since I first heard of either or them), and In Flames who I met at Ozzfest 2005 (this was the first real concert I went to, it was 14 hours long, in mid-August, at 113 degrees Fahrenheit or 45 degrees Celsius, on the asphalt it was more like 122 Fahrenheit or 50 Celsius). My charts say I like power metal more than melodic death metal, but they're wrong, there are just more power metal bands that I like than there are Death Metal bands. I used to buy a new album every week, but then the economy crapped on everyone. Hopefully the gods of metal will shine on me and I will be able to feed my music addiction once more, 'cause I've been having withdrawals.
