Cassie, don't forget, Coachella will be streaming, if you wanted to check out any of the acts

Have you ever gone down to the "Figure 8" wall in SilverLake to have your picture taken (like the album cover)? Or is that too touristy? :)

I'd skip "Pictures at Eleven" if I were you then. lol You don't anything against Randy Rhodes though, right? :P

omigod, that's so true! but i kinda like it in doses. Robert Plant's "Pictures at Eleven" sounds VERY 80s, but I like a lot of the tracks on that album (lol, Phil Collins actually plays drums on it). As for Ozzy, I love the albums with Randy Rhodes on guitar. I think you might like the one with "Crazy Train" on it.

Cassie, since you listen to Zep and Sabbath, have you also checked out the early '80s solo albums by Robert Plant and Ozzy?

Sorry to hear that things are weird w/yr ex now. :\ Think positive; you'll get through it. Hey, I'm going to send you a link to site you can bookmark (for ALL your vinyl questions), which I use a lot. It's very informative. I've learned a lot from it (so much so that I feel like I could work the Vinyl Buying desk at Amoeba now, lol).

Do you buy used? That can be fun, if you know what to look for. I've managed to find a lot of my favorites when I go to the flea market at Pasadena City College (each month). There's a place in Burbank close to work, that I check weekly (called Atomic Records) too. Then there's always Amoeba.

You listen on vinyl too? lol, that's not hipster. (but i'm happy to see that's it's "in" again). it DOES sound better, tbh. i just have an Audio Technica turntable now, but I'm saving up to get a Pro-Ject. Maybe after I get my tax refund check. Do you have a big collection? Or have you just confiscated your parents' music trove? :D

As 2013 nears her end we reflect back and see bountiful blessings in which we were blessed with. There were some things we had to go through, things we had no control over; but in the going through may our hearts have gained strength and comfort where it was needed most. May we be set on mission this New Year to reach out to others in such a way they can feel us reaching even before we make it to their hearts door. May we give in a way like never before, a pouring out of all we have from within us. May we overlook the negativity and grasp hold of every little positive piece. May we grow - blossom, mature, expand in ways needed and may we whisper encouragement all around. May there be opportunities for us to lend our hearts and hands to help in ways we can, and of most certain reality there is already opportunities that await our very step toward them. When we can, which is always, may we spread LOVE LIKE RADIANT LIGHT across this land we walk and breathe in. ♥ Dawn

Cassie, you should listen to "In Through The Out Door" too. I think all the LZ studio albums (along with "Coda") range from "very good" (LZ1) to "masterpiece" (Physical Graffiti). ALL good. :D

I was wearing a gray and red striped long scarf around my neck. No one else was wearing scarves, so that would have been the best way to pick me out.

I did see a girl with that skirt. That was you?? You stood out enough, for me to remember. You were probably a few people away from me then! I was right in the corner, closest to the bar. I ended up standing on the seating to get the best view. Other than the rail, that's my go-to spot for that venue. And yeah, give Sylvianbriar a few more listens. For me, it was love at first listen. :D
