See You Again

Hi,
I wasn’t scrobbling much last week. And today’s album cover compilation features artists that I only listened to twice maybe. Yeah, but instead I had a great time those days. I even got to put together a party playlist. :)

Last week in covers:

Noteworthy:
> Dido : I’m in the mood to get to know her latest album once more. I might do that soon.
> Frank+Fefe : yes, a podcast among the music. I really enjoy listening to the political topics over and over.
> Craig Armstrong : the “In Time” score has some amazing tracks. Didn’t I already tell you? ;)
> Rob Patterson : oops, that must be some kind of gaffe. :D
> Will Young : I hope to hear that he’s making a new record soon. But until then I’ll enjoy the songs from “Echoes”.
> Lana Del Rey : I really didn’t imagine her songs ever becoming essential to my playlists, but then came “Ride” and “Young & Beautiful”. :D
> Céline Dion : uhm, weekend starter tunes alert. And yes, in French.

Stats!

Most played artists:
> Gabrielle Aplin : I finally found the time to listen to her album “English Rain”. And I enjoyed it so much, that I did it again. :)
> Tom Lüneburger : i recently revisited his first album, which is surpringly short. But there are a few great tunes on it.
> Sophie B. Hawkins : It was mostly mellow songs from “The Crossing” that got me thinking. I’d say her latest album isn’t easy, but it’s worth checking out.

Most played tracks:
> Walk Away Renee : yesterday I felt the need for some sort of soothing tune, and this was it. I really like that track from the first "Ally McBeal" soundtrack.
> Please Don’t Say You Love Me : oh, what a lovely song. It feels so true.

News?
> “Fiction” - the new video by The xx - is quite beautiful.
> “Everything Has Changed” teams-up not only Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran, but also a kids version of both artists. The cheesy music video is now online.
> Carrie Underwood’s “See You Again” features strong visuals (including patriotism). Actually, the video makes me like the song more.
> Last week I forgot to mention “Skirt” - the new demo/song by Kylie. It was posted on SoundCloud and I’m not sure what to think of it. But then again… when she promoted “Aphrodite” I also was not sure about it. :D

New in the German charts:
Blurred Lines : Although I saw hit potential when I first heard that track, I did not think it could be this successful. I’m cool with that. :D
We Own It (feat. Wiz Khalifa) : ah, “Fast & Furious 6” made some impact on the top ten. Tbh I find this song a bit generic.
