Thanks Jim! But I have to admit that the combination wasn't soo awesome. I just got the feeling that all these noisy noise songs made my headache and sore throat even worse. And now I sound like a 70-year-old woman who's drunk too much alcohol in her life. :D

How on earth did you survive Spock's Beard? I remember listening to them a few years ago and all I could think was "Not another of those uninspiring 'We're doing long and epic songs just for the sake of doing long and epic songs' bands!". Funny that you listened to them, though..because yesterday I started to create some nice compilation with Marillion songs for you (not saying Marillion are "progressive" rock, but they are being put into that category all the time, y'know) that you're probably interested in (Yes? Okay.). So, yeah..I just wanted to tell you that within the next few hours there's going to arrive a lovely package at your soulseek door. :D

I know! I mean, I'm not familiar with all of their stuff but from what I've heard so far their music seems to be really groovysexyrelaxing. So, yeah, I'm probably going to listen to the rest of their albums as well (that is, if I've got some time left inbetween the 8.104.358 discographies that I still need to check out. :D).

listening to some Be Bop/ Hard Bop jazz playlists and see you listen to quite a few of the artist I've checked out. Listened to a fair bit of Jazz in the past (Horace Silver / Davis/ Brubeck/ Coltrane etc) but this Be Bop stuff is so cool - any LPs you'd recommend for further listening?

Motivational Jumpsuit is my favourite of the post reunion releases, just played it to death when I first got it - now not long to go now 'til Cool Planet drops, hoping for another corker. Agree with gwulf, Bears for Lunch was great too.

I know what you mean about ELL, although it has some of my favorite reunion songs. I'm a big fan of Bears for Lunch, but Jumpsuit is really coming up the ranks quickly.
