Hi :) Lolawolf’s debut album ‘Calm Down’ was disappointing for me.

They seem to be back. When I posted the comment earlier their website was down too. Odd.

Ha, no quiet here on Saturdays. Full staff days 8AM-4PM and everyone teaching pretty much straight through. All ages from 3-80, all instruments, all levels. I have Piano, Trumpet and Violin students today

You too, sir. Though, I'm here at work until 4. My weekends are Friday and Sunday unless I have gigs. Then, my weekends are next weekend or, sometimes, next month. Things are very good in Dallas, a new giant record shop (Josey Records) opened up.

I never can get into to the music of techno-culture. For me, it has something very strange. But the first time I had problems to understand music was 1970 with "Ain't It Funky Now" by James Brown. I was 16 then. That was a piece without harmonies. I thought that was incredible. Although I had already listened to music that was not based on harmony, progressive rock with long improvisation points where there was no longer a chord scheme and no more cadences, but that was still recognizable as individual articulation. "Ain't It Funky Now " was just funky. And that was in the charts.

Sobre mim

The 1st proof of friendship is at least a shout!

Music is my passion. I like to watch chick flicks (everybody should have some guilty pleasures). I'm a geek by profession, love the urban life, day and night. I read more books than my book shelves can hold and my most enduring relationship is that one with my coffee dispenser. ...whatever, I am just me.

And mostly all I have to say about these songs is that I love them, and want to sing along to them, and force other people to listen to them, and get cross when these other people don't like them as much as I do. —Nick Hornby
