hrm...what did you think of the Kid Koala show? A bit of a lackluster effort on some of the tracks (out of time, lack of vox, etc.), specifically 'The Grinder' imo. At least the encore was fairly respectable.

Yeah, I live in Nottingham. Actually studying at uni there, too. The one slightly disappointing thing about Nottingham is that I kinda wish more bands would play here. I'd definitely be going to more shows if I lived in London. Must've been nice to see your favourite band finally headline - did you enjoy them Friday?

Hope you enjoy the LP. As for shows in my area, Metric are playing in England this month, but the nearest city is 35 miles away, and I don't have a car so I have not many options to get back home afterwards, which sucks. However, the Silversun Pickups are playing late June in Nottingham, and I'm hopeful I can make that. I see you're planning to go to quite a few shows - any you're particularly excited about (except for the New Pornographers, of course)?

Thanks for your input. Ra Ra Riot's first LP, 'The Rhumb Line', was one of my favourite albums last year. I think you'll like them, even though your tastes may have gradually changed from the indie pop/indie rock stuff (which is where Ra Ra Riot falls under). Worth checking out. I'm actually pretty jealous you're going to see the New Pornographers and Ra Ra Riot in one night, haha.
