Well, each country’s got their own charts. I’m in the United States, and when you click the charts tab on your place, you get the top 500 for your country. In the U.S., the top 25 is dominated mainly by indie and alternative listeners with a few big hard hitters in between. I decided to go through the list and dig up any hard rock/heavy metal artists and see where they place in America. You know, last few years, I've learned more about the music industry, the genres, and shit that goes down. Mis-labeling of genres and shit. Yeah, Fall Out Boy labeled as punk, Slipknot and Disturbed labeled as metal, Incubus labeled as indie, even some dispute NIN as industrial and all. In the case of stuff, bands like Cannibal Corpse, Judas Priest, and Symphony X are metal while stuff like Mudvayne, Avenged Sevenfold, and KoRn are not.
