Well, no, it's not going to be another debate about which OS is better. I made my choice, and constantly using Linux, Ubuntu + KDE.
But today I had to boot into my Windows 2k to do some school work(egh, some software is windows-only…), I re-installed my winamp(it was totaly screwed up, and was refusing to play more than one song). I turn it on, put some classic rock stuff on, and… And I'm shocked. It just sounds so much better then when I play it in amarok under linux!! Wow, that came as a surprise. the difference is stunning. It uses my Logitech subwoofer so much more effeciently, the sound is just much deeper, more interesting.
Any of you guys play music under linux? Which engine would you recommend? I love my Ubuntu, but since I have music on 24\7, it becomes a big issue…
