Where I learned about my top artists/heard them first.

1. Atmosphere-Melissa played 'Bam' incessantly
2. The Beatles-I really got into them when I downloaded all their albums off OurTunes
3. M.I.A-I read about her in Willamette Week I think, and then Melissa bought the CD
4. RJD2- People played 'Ghostwriter' in the pool hall, then Melissa emailed me 'In Rare Form'
5. Built to Spill- They are from Boise!
6. Coheed and Cambria- Melissa's MTV Road Rules CD
7. Red Hot Chili Peppers- MTV. And then I bought their greatest hits for Melissa and burned a copy.
8. The Strokes- I never got into them in high school, but I downloaded their CDs on ourtunes and really got into them (with Melissa).
9. Theivery Corporation- Garden State :P
10. Iron and Wine- Sasquatch 06
11. Eisley- My friend Cade burned me the CD, which was kinda weird because he was more into hardcore at the time.
12. Blackalicious- Melissa bought the CD, our art teacher Mr. B recommended them
13. Death Cab for Cutie- I dunno- Melissa?
14. The Pixies- Lauren, my dormie from freshman year was really into them
15. The Shins- Garden State :P
16. Slightly Stoopid- James, my boyfriend
17. Aesop Rock- Mr. B had Aesop Rock posters up in our art class. Melissa gave me the track 'daylight'. But it was really James who got me into him
18. Sigur Ros- Melissa bought Takk..
19. Sufjan Stevens- Sasquatch 06 + Mr. B again
20. Squarepusher- Lauren's boyfriend Chris recommended him to me.
