Hey. It's reassuring you're actually putting in an effort, I was mix-deprived last month. But yes, basically just give me whatever I don't have. Trying to expand my musical horizons, or something like that. Anything you particularly dislike that I should avoid?

Hey Sadia, thank for your shout! I'd prefer a real CD if that's cool for you. You can surprise me with some sound you dig. If I have one wish free, it's that the tracks schould not last longer than 4 minutes each. Looking forward to trading with you! Cheers - Rich

saw them (Tame Impala) 2 weeks ago on a festival, watched their full set an dit was worth it, nice promising band. Never really was 'into progrock' , but can't wait to see GY!BE..... I know you rank their album ' lift your skinny fists..etc.' very high and started really listening to them lately. The same goes for the Wedding Present btw, dunno why it took me so long to 'discover' them

Whatever you want to put on it is fine, and either method really works for me, so whichever you want is fine. What would you like on yours?

this weekend I'll get the chance to see Hot Chip and Minus the Bear too, hope they'll fit into my programme; I think I'll skip the xx for that matter (have seen them in january and enjoyed it then, but heard from several people that they've been dissappointing lately). Will see Mumford and Sons again, I think they're amazing! Grizzly Bear was one of my favourites last year, nice that you saw and liked them. Will download your latest mixes, can't do without a 'sportsmix' considering my athletics hobby .... and the nighttime mix sounds nice too

No one understands you? I should introduce you to a new band I've heard. They're called The Smiths. I think you'd like them.

Listening = noises going from your ears into your brain. Your brain controls all your emotions, thoughts, and bodily functions. For me, music sets off synapses and triggers the release of endorphins/seratonin and so on, stimulating my brain, which leads to me expressing excitement (or whichever emotion has been brought about by sound) through physical movement. That's the connection. Have you lived on this planet for long?

Boys in make-up = good. If they can carry it off, in whatever way that may be (including weird and scary). Yes, he looks a bit mannequin-esque, but in a boring fashion. Like a malformed jock. He looks VERY American. And very bland. With (too much) eyeliner on, he looks like a cheese string that's been parachuted into an A&R meeting where they've decided that 'edgy' is this year's look. Whereas this year's look is actually the frailty and "could have been a jock but I got fucked up at an early age" beauty of Mike from Perfume Genius. IMHO!

It's not about public exhibition. Have you never danced around on your own when no one else is there? If you haven't, then you have no soul, and should be banned from listening to, purchasing, or having an opinion on music forthwith.

I've just checked out Tiga on google images. He ain't up to much. Without the eyeliner, he looks bland, and with the eyeliner he looks try-hard. Just sayin'...

Letting go of the fear of looking like a twat (or just letting go per se) is the point of dancing. Unless you want to pull, which you don't need to. Do it! Flail like a special kid, grin like a loon, and wonder why you haven't done it before!

"Is it wrong to be a loon? I liken it to a balloon". Nowt wrong with not dancing, but I just don't understand it. And what I don't understand, I fear, and therefore HATE, with a burning anger that shall know no bounds. I'm going to form my own religion based upon smiting those who defy the boogie imperative. You're first up for the inquisition. But, SRSLY, how can you NOT want to fling yourself about like a twat when a song you adore is playing?

I hope you're encouraging your daughter to dance. Don't let her catch your bizarre disease. ;)

How can one love dance music without having an equal need to dance????!!! Musical anorexia. Simple as.

Bad Romance is amazing. That's Gaga's high point, but I'd imagine that the show will be a spectacular. And she's cool. I vaguely recollect her banging on about Morrissey being her idol at some point. I've NO idea what Tiga looks like. All I know of him is that he worked with/remixed EVERYONE from 1999 to 2001, like some kind of Electroclash whore. I thought he'd disappeared many a moon ago.

I don't get the kerfuffle over Hot Chip at ALL, btw. They remind me of Basement Jaxx. Dance music for people who don't dance. And don't really like music.
