mukeys - I've met many people at shows... sure you're not interacting while the music is playing but before they come on stage/after you are. And there's also the smoking sections where you can socialise with people. And the bands usually talk to the audience... so you could call that interaction.

and kingfausto tags songs, with the title of the song. so that's just like writing "cornflakes" with a marker on a cornflakes box.

I love using this tag. Especially since I tend to forget what artists I've seen live. So stop bitching about it ppl. It has it's uses (and I'll be thanking myself when I turn fifty and I realize what a concertfreak I am;)

seriously kingfausto, not all of us see every shitty band that plays within 100 miles.

haha, I don't see why people have to come on this tag's page and bitch about how "gay" it is. there's nothing wrong with tagging bands that you've seen live, and if you think there is then don't use it. simple.

This tag is probably mostly used by people who don't see that many live shows, like myself. I listen to mainly Japanese music but I live in Canada, so shows that pique my interest are few and far between. In the three years I've been using the tag, I've seen 25 artists (mostly because of friends interest, not my own). So it's really no trouble for some people. Not everyone has the same experiences with live shows, so don't assume everyone who tags using this is bored.

lol what kind of stupid fucking logic is that i go to shows weekly and book shows i just dont see why anyone would be bored enough to tag every band they've ever seen

I love this tag! I don't get why people like HBabylon care... Don't they have anything better to do than wonder why others use some tag in last.fm? I don't do it so I can show other people, it's nice to keep track of it myself. And It's better than events, since I've seen some bands in really small gigs which don't have event and I can't be bothered to create an event

HBabylon: "WHY THE FUCK YOU USE THIS TAG FOR IF YOU HAVE THE EVENTS" Because, say, I've just been to a festival with 400+ performers on the bill, and there is no way of telling which ones I have actually seen. No way, that is, apart from this excellent tag. Think a bit.

I don't get the sense of this tag. Most people never take a look on what tags other users give their artists. So, if i was in the right mood to present a list to anyone that's interested in what bands i have seen live until now, i would manage that list offline (e.g. as excel spreadsheet) and copy-paste it into my "about me" section on my profile.
