I wonder if anyone has done a study on the comparison of the top artists tagged with this seen live vs the weekly top artists. For instance, the Top Artist on the weekly's has been for as long as I can remember, Coldplay. Yet, they (at the time of writing this) are only 40th on the "Seen Live" top artist list (assuming that it reads left to right, top to bottom). It would then be interesting to see if this is a reflection on Coldplay (possibly) not touring as much as Radiohead (#2 weekly, #8 seen live), or are people who go to see Coldplay live, not the type to use the seen live tag religiously? Hrmmmm....

Hmm... I see plenty of other people have suggested that too. Why don't you just do it? =/

If you want a record of what bands you've seen along with dates and any other information you might care for (location?), then make a section for it in your About Me profile. No need to screw up tag clouds, easy to do, doesn't piss anybody off, everybody wins. Sound good?

as far as I know, I created this tag when I created "stuff I should be able to inject directly into my blood" and I had no idea it would create a page and all this trouble... I'm glad some of you like it and quite frankly, I don't care that some of you don't :D

What's with all this "nu-seen live" crap? All these popular bands can never even begin to grasp what true seen live music is about. It's not about selling out and having gigs, real seen live artists would rarely even show their faces. Sadly, all the emotion and depth behind this genre is long gone..

"you can make a list with songs of the artists that you seen live and name this list Seen Live. Just add to the list one of the songs that he played live, or if time/patience add every song that you listened on the shows of every artist that gone on a show." OMG I LOVE THIS IDEA.

This tag, along with many others, gets so much hate because there are elitist fags on last.fm who believe that as well as id3 tags, these types of tags should just be genres only so they can get their own way of having last.fm 'clean' and 'tidy.' ID3 tags should be tagged correctly for playcounts on songs and artists to be accurate, but I don't see why they make such a huge deal out of these types of tags considering it's only people being expressive about the music they listen to.

@senorblanco, no, its not the only way, you can make a list with songs of the artists that you seen live and name this list Seen Live. Just add to the list one of the songs that he played live, or if time/patience add every song that you listened on the shows of every artist that gone on a show.

The tag is genius. It's a great way to remember what artists you've seen. You'd be surprised how quickly you might forget......
